Submission Rules

UndergroundMines.com publishes only localities with credible evidence of underground mine workings (shafts, adits, tunnels, inclines, declines, drifts, levels, stopes, and similar).

Accepted for publication review: new underground mine records with workings evidence (source citation or member field observation), historical notes with citations, typographic corrections, commodity updates, dated photos you own or have permission to publish, and land-status clarifications with sources.

Required for new public mine submissions: at least one underground working type plus source/evidence or field observation. Unknown measurement details are allowed. Generic surface prospects, open pits without underground evidence, placers, quarries, and mills are not accepted as public underground mines.

Not accepted: exact route finding into gated workings, coordinates intended to bypass access tiers, or unverifiable treasure-hunt claims.

Trip photos and reports: you must have rights to upload them. Public trip pages strip GPS metadata and never include stored mine coordinates. Do not type precise locations into public captions or stories.
